Most fans of the legendary music icon Michael Jackson are still unable to come to terms with his untimely death. In fact, in just a few weeks (25 June 2010 to be precise), it will be the legends first death anniversary. Fans across the world are already preparing to pay their special tributes to the late King of Pop. Out of the many tributes that will be held across the world, the one in Tokyo seems to be the most unique. A Japanese promoter is offering fans a chance to spend the night of Jackson’s death anniversary with the king of Pop’s possessions. Yes, fans will be selected at random and get a chance to spend the night at the Neverland Collection at the Tokyo Tower. The Neverland Collection that opened to public on May 1 is the world's only official Michael Jackson exhibition.

The lucky winners will enter the Tokyo Tower venue from 10:30 p.m. on the night of June 25, and will be able to stay until 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Guests will pay up to $1,000 for the one-time opportunity to sleep on the floor among Michael's belongings. Fans have already lined up to win the opportunity to spend one night surrounded by the legends possessions. "The idea may sound a bit odd to Western cultures, but in Japan the tradition of being with the remains and possessions of passed loved ones on the anniversary of their passing is an important ritual," said Hiroyuki Takamura of the Tokyo Tower. This, unique opportunity will definitely see a number of fans descending upon Tokyo from across the world.
