We’re told that earlier today, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick (recent Madoff victims, strangely enough) dropped into Stogo, a recently opened organic, dairy-free ice-cream shop. Wait a minute, ice cream on one of the coldest friggin' days of the year? Might this have been a photo op? Mmmyes. Turns out the place is owned by Sedgwick’s brother, Rob
Loved it so much, I went back for seconds. Do yourself a favor and try the vanilla bean coconut, the only ice cream in the city made vegan with coconut milk, fannnntastic.
Tasty ice cream, that's not ice cream Everything's vegan at Stogo: the original recipe ice cream, the Baby cake cupcakes, the raw hot chocolate...and it's delicious. The cupcakes don't taste like normal cupcakes, but they're really good and the frosting was a new texture to me, which left me wanting more. (I don't know what it was made of.) The chocolate/coconut mix of Stogo ice cream is awesome. And the pistachio, too. All of them were creamy, tasty and addictive. But it's not ice cream it's soy based ice cream sweetened with agave nectar.
