Hot German potato salad\nIngredients\n\n * 10 medium potatoes, peeled\n * 6 slices bacon\n * 3/4 cup chopped onions\n * 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour\n * 2 Tbsp sugar\n * 1 1/2 tsp salt\n * 1/2 tsp celery seed\n * 1/4 tsp black pepper\n * 3/4 cup water\n * 1/4 cup white vinegar\n\nDirections\n\n 1. Bring large pot of water to boil.\n 2. Add potatoes and cook for approximately 30 minutes until slightly tender but not mushy.\n 3. Fry bacon in a large skillet until brown.\n 4. Drain and crumble; set aside. Reserve drippings.\n 5. Whisk together flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.\n 6. Saute onions in bacon drippings. Add flour mixture and stir until simmering.\n 7. Remove from heat and stir in water and vinegar.\n 8. Return to heat and bring to rapid boil, stirring constantly for one minute.\n 9. Carefully add sliced potatoes and bacon crumbles into the mixture.\n 10. Gently stir until heated.\n 11. Serve warm.
