A Beijing-based design company has completed a luxury hotel that is entirely made of recycled materials.

A design firm in China has found a brilliant use of 3.2 million shipping containers China imported last year. The Xiang Xiang Xiang Pray House hotel located in the a hill in Changski, China is a five-star hotel built out of these shipping containers. Designed by the Tonghe Shanzi Landscape Design company, the hotel covers 5,000 square meters and has 21 guestrooms in total. The boutique hotel, which is fitted with traditional Chinese decorations, also incorpoprates eco-friendly features. It took approximately three months to design, build, transport, and revamp the containers, all of which are painted with environmentally-friendly water paint.

Inside this luxury hotel, guests can dine and relax at the in-house restaurant, or watch tea ceremonies or musical performances in the courtyards.
