Ear piercings are for ninnies. If you’re gonna poke a bunch of holes in that appendage, you might as well just go full Van Gogh and lop part of it off. This is from the original procedure, back in March:
Our fearless, earless fellow, James, who also has a face covered in tattoos, says the procedure hasn’t really affected his hearing at all. He also writes that he kept his ear pieces in a baggie. (What, would you just throw them away?) Also notice that to fit the big plug through the center of his ear, he first had to get a half-inch-sized hole carved into his cartilage.
“You’ll notice that the right ear isn’t as smooth as the left,” writes Modblog. “That’s actually intentional as James was looking to have a battle-worn look on the right, while having a smooth line on the left.”
