These are the clever canine cooks who are taking a ruff approach to confectionery. Eddie Lebeau and her business partner Rich are the artists behind the genius that is Cake Doggy Dog. From the doleful red-rimmed eyes of a Bassett Hound to the perky bat-like ears of a French bulldog, Eddie and Rich capture the characteristics of man's best friend to a tee. And the icing artists, from South West London, have even paid tribute to some of the most famous dogs of our time, from a cake version of Britain's Got Talent winner Pudsy to the Queen's beloved corgi or the pint-sized pooches of the TOWIE stars.
Their goal? To create cakedogs 'so realistic they could lick your face.' Their 'have your dog and eat it' project kicked off after they baked a barking mad bulldog birthday cake for a friend several years ago.
'Our vision is to ensure that cake decorating remains the art form that it is. What we we love most is making our cakes so exciting to look at that you won't want to eat them. 'Whether it's a cake that looks so much like your dog you're afraid it'll lick your face or cupcakes and cake pops that are so pretty you'll want to decorate your home with them, we ensure all our creations are a visual delight (and a tasty treat!)'
