A new identifier offers the opportunity to companies to promote their commitment to sustainability energy.
WindMade™ is the first global consumer label identifying products and companies made with wind energy. The Belgium non-profit dedicates this unique brand and trademark to increase the global us age of wind power, hopefully resulting in the prevention of climate change and the promotion of resource efficiency and energy security. The association provides qualified companies the ability to effectively communicate to consumers a commitment to wind energy that differentiates their brand, and signals a strong commitment to renewable energy.
Qualified companies have to obtain at least 25% of their electricity from wind power. Recently, Danish hearing aid manufacturer Widex was the first company in the world to receive the recently established WindMade label. Other major companies have expressed their commitment to the initiative and will be certified in the coming months, including Becton Dickinson, Motorola, Deutsche Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers Denmark.
