When Igor Vovkovinskiy, the tallest man in America at 7’8″, needed custom $15,000 shoes to help his surgically impaired feet better support his body, he turned to the Internet for donations. With little more than a heartfelt plea for help, Igor’s website, Igor Needs Shoes, has raised more than $38,000 in donations since March 6. “Thank you so much to everyone who made this donation drive happen!! I cannot believe my eyes at the amount and the generosity of the people,” Vovkovinskiy said in his latest post. “Thank you all.”
