This is a lamp that is made from a real jellyfish. No, they didn’t kill these fish, they waited for them to die from natural causes and then froze them in liquid nitrogen. Once they’re rock hard, they dipped them in a liquid epoxy solution and let the whole thing harden. This means the lamp will not break, and not chip, even if you drop it. Even better, jellyfish skin contains bioluminescent proteins that makes them glow in the dark. Simply expose the lamp to light during the day and at night it will release these photons back for your viewing enjoyment. Or, you can buy one of the company’s many-colored LED bases to light it up at will.
