Priceonomics Is Like the Kelley Blue Book for EverythingNot sure how much your old car is worth given the market? That's what Kelley Blue Book is for, right? How about your old TV, laptop, bicycle, and so on? By analyzing the going rates for 130 million listings across the internet, web site Priceonomics aims to be the price guide for everything.
The site is pretty simple to use: Just hit up the front page and type in whatever you want priced, whether you're selling or buying. The normal approach most of us currently take to price out the market on popular items has traditionally been a quick search of Craigslist (or maybe eBay if we're feeling nostalgic), and in ways, that still makes more sense to me. Craigslist lets you know what the market is right now, and whether you're selling or buying, that's the market you're participating in. Still, not everything is a popular sale item on Craigslist, so even if it's not you're every-day price guide, Priceonomics could be helpful for the more obscure "for sale" items.
