To get the word out for the non-profit organization OneXOne, the charity decided to shave QR codes on the back of students’ heads to raise awareness. Talented stylists etched or stamped the barcodes onto the scalps of high school and college students who participated eagerly as ‘hope agents.’ When these codes were scanned, supporters were able to donate $5 by text message or credit card to help improve living standards for children around the world.

The bold campaign was created by interactive agency Engageia who was keen to help OneXOne promote its good cause through a unique marketing channel.
