It brings a new meaning to measuring up in the bedroom. A company has launched custom-made condoms to allow men to find the perfect fit when it comes to contraceptives. It comes after a study last year found that around half of men use ones that do not fit them correctly.
TheyFit has developed a staggering 95 different sizes of custom-fit condom - and has even produced a special measuring tape to ensure they get exactly the right size.
Using the wrong size condom not only impacts on enjoyment, but can raise the risk of disease and pregnancy, health experts warned. Ill-fitting condoms more than doubled the chances of them splitting or slipping off, a team of researchers in Kentucky found. In some cases men choose not to use a condom because it is too uncomfortable, despite it being the only contraceptive that can guard against diseases such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea and HIV.
