Amazing new transparent concrete, by Mexican students Joel Sosa and Sergio Omar Galván. This team of material innovators claim that their “concrete” is 30% lighter than normal concrete and lets through 80% of the light, or so they say. Sr. Sosa and Sr. Gavlan have yet to release the actual ingredients into what they are calling “transparent concrete,” due to patent issues. Although The Dig and it’s readers would love to dream of entire structures being made out of this beautiful cast of material, we aren’t ready to get our hopes up just yet! Come’on, give us the dirt guys, what’s your secret?
