Inventor Tony Allen came up with the idea for the Spider Catcher after spending years chasing spiders with a vacuum cleaner or rolled up newspaper whilst balancing on beds and wardrobes trying to remove spiders from his son's bedroom. Not wanting to harm the spiders and conscious of peoples’ fear of spiders, Tony came up with a way to harmlessly remove spiders and other household pests.
Behold, the highly acclaimed Spider Catcher winner of a Gold Medal with distinction at the Geneva Inventors Show and star of numerous TV shows including ITV’s This Morning Show, HGTV, Channel 4's Big Breakfast and Tomorrow's World.
If you dislike spiders or other insects in your house and want to remove them without harm then all you need is the Spider Catcher. It works by surrounding the spider with bristles that close around the spider, the bristles harmlessly trap the spider, to allow you to pickup and release the spider outside. How can I catch spiders and insects? The Spider Catcher has a trigger at one end that operates the bristles at the other end; it is approx 65cm (25.60 inches) in length to allow you to approach the spider at a safe distance.
