Situated in Beijing is a 20-story, inflatable museum dedicated to introducing children and adults alike to the workings of the inner body.
Behold the ‘Gulliver Museum,’ a 12,000-kg and 70-meter-long inflatable, mobile museum that currently lies at Chaoyang Park, Beijing. It’s so big that it received a certification from the Guinness Book of Records as the ‘tallest inflatable statue in the world.’ But though the outside aesthetics are based on Lemuel Gulliver from “Gulliver’s Travels,” the inside poses an entirely different story.
Visitors to the museum start their journey at the left foot, from which they continue deep into a labyrinth that eventually ends at the right ear. Along the way they get a lifelike peek into the intricacies of the human body. They can explore Gulliver’s liver, his mouth, his nasal cavity, his lungs, and even his stomach, which supposedly still contains his last meal.
According to the Global Times, the museum was initially constructed in Taiwan by the Paper Windmill Foundation, though the process took over three years. It’s currently on tour and scheduled to be moved to another country in late October
